With a hand like KQs or QTs I'm probably just flat calling since I'll have to fold if the action gets really dicey but I have outs to the nut straight and tons of backdoor equity so I wouldn't mind getting reraised by a set. I have tons of equity here so my main goal is blowing up the pot so I can stack villain if I hit any of my outs. If someone decided to shove the flop I'm probably gonna have to fold though which sucks.Turn (30.6 BB, 2 players):4dHero bets 22 BB, BTN calls 22 BBTurn is a brick. Honestly checking and betting large are both fine I think. Villain's range is very polarized and draw heavy so I would rather just try and squeeze value from their draws than passively check.River (74.6 BB, 2 players):7cHero checks, BTN bets 51.6 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 51.6 BBRiver is a clear check call, I hit none of my outs so I'm mainly bluff catching here. The shove by villain though is very interesting. 77 is very unlikely so they're mainly repping a flopped straight/set. I have blockers to the nut straight and top set and I unblock all flush draw bluffs. I prefer to bluffcatch with this hand than say AK or KQ because villain can only really have a set or a bluff here. QT is probably a good bluff catcher since it blocks the most likely sets, but if I'm only calling here with sets, straights, and bottom 2 2 pair I'm probably overfolding. While QT can lose to overvalued KQ, I find it's a better call because when I have KQ villain has a lot more sets and straights in their range. Was this a good bluffcatch?
